If you ever used Total Commander on PC you’ve probably remembered it forever. Even today sometimes you might regret that those file management principles are not used in standard OS X applications. In the resemblance of the legendary file manager was created Disk Order for OS X. The same double pane look, the same key combinations and the same simple but yet practical interface.

Double paned layout is almost a gift for those who daily has to work with couple of files and directories at the same time. Standard OS X Finder still opens different locations in separate windows. Jumping from one to another is not so much handy when you could have both folders open in the same window. Disk Order contains a whole set of required features: drag-&-drop, color marking, command line and Spotlight file search.

 Quite possibly you’ve been in a situation when you need to rename a dozen or even a hundred of files. When the usual file name changing scheme in OS X is far from perfection, in Disk Order you have a separate window with a huge amount of renaming parameters. File name can be set with a mask, containing creation date, time, file counter and other useful parameters… To be short, it’s really a lot of options and if you don’t understand them at first, don’t worry. The application takes a little bit of time to understand how advanced features work. But when you master it, you’ll sure notice how much time it saves.

Disk Order is stuffed with additional features, starting with FTP/SFTP client which allows to view files with simple F3 keystroke, and ending with the ability to view your iPod/iPhone/iPad music library contents. And yes, you can download music files to your hard drive. Also Dropbox is integrated, allowing to easily upload and download files from the most popular cloud storage. If it’s still not enough for you, take into account built-in archive support. Browse compressed files just like regular folders, view contents or pick something to extract. You can access computers in your local network, they’re all listed in the side bar. And finally, the application supports plugins. 7zip and RAR unpacking, quick view and so on.

User interface is pretty standard, just like probably it should be in a file manager. Here you have tabs, toolbar icons for file operations, a sidebar with your hard drives, shared computers, connected FTP servers, Dropbox and your favorite places. Everything is simple and neat.

The unregistered version of Disk Order is not feature limited and can be used for as long as 30 days. The license can be purchased for $29.95 at the official web site. I’m pretty sure, if you’re looking for reliable tool, not a fancy looking toy, you’ll find much more useful features in this application. Apart of Mountain Lion, the previous OS X releases are supported, even with PowerPC processor.

An efficient and experienced logo designer working in top multinational companies like Apple, Yahoo, Google, HCL or Microsoft may earn a salary ranging from $5000-$8000 a month. The average salaries of such designers are likely to be around $6,500 per month. These logo designers usually have 5 years or more experience and they are highly competent in their fields.

Salary of a Game Designer/Software Designer

Game designers and Software designers are usually sought for in order to make an attractive and eye-catching company logo. The designers in this field are highly proficient in using Photoshop and other editing tools. These Game and software designers need to have an experience of 2-10 years in order to earn a monthly salary of $3000-$5000.

Salary of Logo Designers working for a Commercial Purpose

Commercial logo designers usually make money by designing logos for advertisements, web banners and various other public purposes. The main advantage of being a commercial logo designer is that you can expand in the niche of Logo designing and you do not have to work for a specific organization. Commercial Logo designers may or may not be experienced in the field and can earn a salary of $3000-$4000 on a monthly basis.

Designing jobs under the print media and the printing press have been one of the most common and popular job for the US citizens. The individuals of this field can work as freelancers or under various organizations, newspaper or magazine banners and the printing press. However, the competition under this field is extremely tough and there’s a huge demand of graphic designers in this field. These designers are proficient in making unique and chic logos. Last week we shared our first 10 tips on how to optimize your e-commerce web design in order to make the shopping process as seamless and easy for your customers as possible. This week we look at things such as support, promotion of popular items as well as money back guarantee and the importance of testing.

#1. Keep content fresh

This might seem trivial, however just like any other website you need to keep your content fresh. There is nothing worse than visiting a web store only to realize that the store hasn’t been updated since 2008. You need to keep a regular schedule of updates otherwise customers will think the store is closed and the website just hasn’t been taken down yet.

#2. Sales support

If you were running a physical store the first thing you would do would be to employ sales personnel, running a web store is no different, don’t expect that just because everything is online customers don’t need support. From the very beginning you need to offer some sort of sales support, and you need to make sure they respond in a reasonable time, I am not saying you need to have a 24/7 live chat however if it takes you 3 weeks to get back to people then they will have moved on and bought the product elsewhere.

Your product details need to be as detailed as possible, yes you might be selling T-Shirts however if your only product detail says “Green T-Shirt” then trust me people are going to be confused. You need to offer as much detail about the product as possible, these

Like with any website there is nothing more important than testing the design, a web store is no different, you really need to test and retest your design before going live. If something isn’t working you want to know about it before your customers start complaining, perhaps you can get a few of your friends to test the site, chances are they will see something you haven’t considered after working months on the project.

Let’s face it you just can’t make everyone happy, there is always going to be someone who will complain and want his or her money back. If you want to keep customers coming back then you must offer a money back guarantee.

You might have noticed that physical stores always seem to cram a whole bunch of products in the checkout area, the reason for this is that you are much more likely to do spontaneous shopping while waiting in the checkout line. As with any website you need to remember who your target market is, for instance if your web store sells toys then the colors you will want to use will be different than if you were selling furniture for a retirement home.
